Retraining in Steiner pedagogy in Aarhus 2023-24

The course provides a basic theoretical and practical introduction to Rudolf Steiner pedagogy with a special focus on the anthroposophical human image, empathy, rhythm, child considerations, sensory care, artistic-aesthetic methods, and the educator’s own development.

The course

The aim is to strengthen the Steiner pedagogical practice in day care institutions, as well as to give employees with general pedagogical education the opportunity for an increase in competence and the opportunity to integrate the Steiner pedagogical approach and the anthroposophical human image in their work.

The course provides a basic theoretical and practical introduction to Rudolf Steiner pedagogy with a special focus on the anthroposophical human image, empathy, rhythm, child considerations, sensory care, artistic-aesthetic methods, and the educator’s own development.

Teaching method

Lectures, group work, guidance, self-activity, aesthetic learning and reflection.

Between each module, a reflection note is written (approx. 1 page) on a self-chosen theme from the teaching, which is given special attention and tested in pedagogical practice.

The education ends with a project assignment of 10-12 pages. It contains a child consideration and deals with a specific pedagogical issue. The purpose is to practice the practical application of Steiner pedagogical methods and the anthroposophical human image, as well as development of personal, professional competencies.

Who can participate?

The qualification course in Steiner pedagogy is aimed at employees in Steiner kindergartens and nurseries who have a general pedagogical education, alternatively a teacher education or a health professional education of at least 3 years.

The course is conducted in collaboration with Marjatta Education Center.

Language: Please note that this education is only offered in Danish.

Price: DKK 25.000 for the entire course, not including food and drinks.

Certificate of participation

To pass the education, absence must not exceed 10%. Reflection notes and project assignment must be submitted and approved.
